About Us

Mi'kma'ki Nation Outfitters launched a retail clothing line in 2018 with the goal of sharing art and culture of Mi’kmaw Nations.

The logo is a combination of the 8-pointed star and a circle. For over 500 years the 8-pointed star appeared on Mi'kmaq crafts, baskets, quilts, and several other items made by our people. The circle represents unity and strength of Mí'kmaq people.
Our retail products are designed and developed with Mi'kmaq pride and culture in mind.

Daniel John Basque, is from Potlotek First Nation, and is grandson to John Basque, First elected Chief of Potlotek First Nation.
