What is it:
We took the old fashioned “ice cream man” tricycle, modernized its back end with 7 gears and e-assist. Then, we tore the front end down to the studs and built a gift shop on there! Our trike will fit through a regular sized door so we can go just about anywhere!
About us:
Trike of a Bike Gifts & Decor was founded in early 2024 by Jeff MacDougall. Originally from Halifax, Jeff moved away with his family at the age of 9 and only returned home in 2022, after 35 years away. A generalist manager type by training and experience, Jeff has wanted to own his own business since he was 12 years old.
What we do:
The general theme of our mobile gift shop is “home”, a celebration of all things Halifax / Nova Scotia, and all of our wonderful landmarks and beauty. What is really our passion, (and hopefully becomes our “main business”) is taking the tricycle to long term care facilities. We love our seniors and we get to hang out with them quite a bit, hopefully helping to brighten their day and/or suite with our artisanal decor!
If we have any energy left, and if the weather cooperates (which it usually doesn’t), watch out for us at various cool places around town this summer. We are on Facebook and Instagram as well.
