About Us

Servant, Dunbrack, McKenzie & MacDonald Ltd. (SDMM), est. 1958, is a locally owned and managed company providing a wide range of Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Reality Capture solutions for clients in Atlantic Canada.

The company’s engineering focus is on municipal engineering (building civil site services and land development). Design services include conceptual planning, construction cost estimates, drainage studies and detailed design of roads and services. During the construction stage, project management is provided through the preparation of tender documents, inspections, as-built data collection, testing, monitoring, record drawings and certification.

SDMM has a strong history providing professional land surveying services. Our company has surveyed large tracts of rural woodlands, large subdivisions for both residential and commercial developments, complex land assemblies in urban centres, and corridor surveys for gas pipelines and transmission lines. We also have extensive experience in Civil and construction surveying, condominium surveys, topographic surveys, building as-built surveys, easement surveys, crown land surveys and boundary litigation.

Our Digital Realities Group has been breaking ground since 2012, innovating new 3D measured solutions using the latest lidar technologies. Their early adoption and battle-tested workflows have made us experts in Reality Capture and 3D As-built Documentation solutions tailored for BIM (Building Information Modelling) in AEC projects.
