PINTS + POINTERS is a NEW event series where guests have the opportunity to enjoy a beer, connect with a few people and hear from business leaders on tangible ways they can improve their businesses. These relaxed conversations will not be your traditional classroom style learning, it?s more of an interactive event. Conversations will be led by local business leaders who will share their experiences and expertise.
Stephen Campbell
Partner, BOYNECLARKE LLP
Stephen is a Partner on the Business Law Team and his practice focuses on commercial financing, mergers and acquisitions and taxation matters. Stephen has a wide range of experience in acting for major lenders and borrowers in financing transactions. He also works with companies of all sizes on merger and acquisition transactions and corporate reorganizations.
Stephen especially enjoys working with business owners from startup through to the eventual sale or transition of the business to the next generation.
When not in the office, Stephen enjoys swinging a club on the golf course and traveling, but gets the most enjoyment from spending time with his wife and two young children.

As Director Credit Structuring Matt works to find solutions that work for the client and the Bank. With over 14 years of experience in lending to Business Clients Matt is well respected for his ability to find creative solutions that work for the client and remain within the risk appetite of the Bank. Matt’s passion for Business Banking starting in his first roll as a CSR in Burnside surrounded by business of all sorts. Over the past 14 years Matt has held roles in Business Banking, Risk, Corporate Finance, and most recently managed a team of 12 Relationship Managers across NS. Matt’s honest and direct approach is appreciated by his peers and his clients.
In his spare time Matt enjoys salmon fishing, riding motorcycles, and most of all spending time with his family.
Jillian Murray
Partner, Advisory Services, Grant Thornton LLP
Jill is a partner in the Transactions practice advising clients from the initial business planning stage through to acquisition, expansion, and sale – she helps businesses every step of the way.
Jill has a particular expertise working with clients in the construction and real estate industries, and is the current Atlantic Lead for the Construction, Real Estate, and Hospitality sector. In addition, she has advised on transactions for a variety of other industries, including retail, restaurant and food service, municipal, manufacturing, and professional services.
When advising on a transaction, Jill takes a team-based approach – working with the client, their legal counsel and bankers. This often includes advising on buy/sell side mandates, management buyouts, transaction financing, and quality of earnings and due diligence engagements.
Outside of work, Jillian enjoys traveling with her family to as many of the world’s best beaches as possible. From a community standpoint, she is involved in a micro-volunteering initiative to help match organizations in need with professionals in the community to support small but mighty initiatives.
