LUNCHEON: Housing in Nova Scotia with Minister John Lohr
Sold out!
Keynote: The Honourable John Lohr, Nova Scotia's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing
On October 23, 2023, the provincial government launched their five-year housing plan, representing at least $1 billion in spending, with targets to create the conditions for more than 40,000 new housing units. The plan aims to "bridge the gap between housing supply and demand and provide Nova Scotians with more housing options."
The responsibility for housing is shared across not only the public sector, but through collaboration with private sector developers, academic institutions, community-based organizations, and not-for-profits. At this luncheon, Minister Lohr will discuss this plan and the government's strategy for implementation.
