The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer a round of FREE online training programs to help grow your business in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration.
These training sessions are in high demand. Please only register if you are 100% committed to fully participating in this training. This is a 40 hour course and you will be required to participate in 80% of the sessions in order to receive the certificate.

TRAINING OVERVIEW:
Performance Management training is a 10 week program that will start on, Tuesday, September 17 and take place once per week every TUESDAY from 1:00PM - 5:00PM.
Performance Management Training Summary:
Managing employee performance is an essential part of being an effective manager and running successful business. Good performance management practices allow the organization to communicate goals and helps to ensure HR decisions are based on objective criteria. Managers benefit by addressing workplace issues, improving moral and increasing productivity. And, employees benefit by understanding improvement areas, developing their skills and being recognized for their accomplishments.
Research shows clear expectations, regular feedback, opportunities to develop and working for a caring supervisor are all drivers of employee engagement and retention. In this course you will learn how to implement performance management best practices that align with current workplace realities. The training will provide you with the tools and confidence to address performance issues, engage employees and apply coaching techniques to allow your team members to be the best they can be.

Genevieve MacInnis
Genevieve MacInnis has over 20 years of Human Resources experience working with midsized Canadian companies and large multinationals in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
She achieved her Certified Human Resources Professional designation in 2006 and has multiple certificates in Adult Education. Genevieve has delivered over 2000 hours of HR, Leadership, Communication and Change Management training. Genevieve is the founder of Inspired Change Consulting, providing services in the areas of Employee Engagement, Leadership Development and Implementing Change.
TRAINING TIMELINE:

To sign up for the training, you must complete the required registration fields, which are required by the Department of Labour Skills & Immigration.

Once we receive your completed form, your information will be provided to your trainer and they will contact you to complete an Individual Needs Assessment to ensure this training is the right fit for you and your business.

Your trainer will then become your point of contact for the training and they will provide you with the information on how to join the sessions each week.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:

The program must be taken on a computer, laptop, or tablet, no phones.

Participants must have a reliable Internet connection.

Headphones with a microphone and a webcam.

Participants must display video; required to ensure the connection to the instructor and other participants.

A quiet place, free of distractions.
*The above are critically important not only for the success of individual participants but also the success of the entire group.
