Nick Beynon, CPHR, is a Board Director of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) of Nova Scotia and the Director of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Admiral Insurance leading HR and various other departments.
CPHR Nova Scotia represents, influences, and advances the Human Resources Profession to influence workplaces in Nova Scotia.
Admiral Insurance is the UK's 3rd largest automobile insurance company employing over 10,000 staff including 450 employees locally in Halifax. Admiral is the recipient of multiple employer of choice awards including 'Best Workplaces in Canada' and 'Atlantic Canada's Top 25 Employers'. Nick is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and was the recipient of CPHR Nova Scotia's 2015 HR Award of Excellence.
Ian is an Associate and member of the Business Law Team and the Creditor Practice Team, focusing on Labour and Employment Law as well as mortgage enforcement and debt recovery. He has appeared at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia as well before various administrative tribunals such as the Worker?s Compensation Appeals Tribunal and the Labour Board.
In his spare time Ian enjoys playing the guitar, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is conversant in Japanese and is a member of the Japanese Society of Halifax. Ian also practices Karate and is a member of the Metro Karate Training Centre in Dartmouth.
David Deveau, P.Eng., MBA, CRSP
Regional Director Occupational Health and Safety-
Province of Nova Scotia
David is Regional Director Occupational, Health and Safety with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education?s Safety Branch. In this capacity, he supports a team of occupational health and safety officers who?s role is to engage with employers and employees through promotion, verification, and enforcement of the OHS Act and related standards and codes of practice. He also engages directly with business and industry stakeholders, promotes health and safety through speaking and outreach, and actively supports various strategic initiatives with the department. A professional engineer with a masters in business, an architectural degree, and his Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, David began his career over 20 years ago in the quality arena, gradually moving into safety leadership roles where he has been primarily focus for about a decade. A regulator today, he spent 3/4s of his career in the private sector working with numerous regulatory agencies, providing him with an insightful, experience-based perspective on both the regulator?s role and challenges on the business side of the equation.
Meaghan McIntyre
With a background that includes beauty, wellness, nutrition and management Meaghan brings a holistic approach to the medical cannabis space. As a patient and manager she provides compassion and advocacy to fully encompass patient needs and corporate responsibility. National Access Cannabis are leaders in cannabinoid therapy providing ongoing support, education and resources for patients across the country. NAC is currently expanding into the adult use market under the brand Meta Cannabis Supply Co.
Tim Pellerin
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, NSLC
Tim joined the NSLC Executive Team in May 2010 and is responsible for our retail store operations and for the evolution of the NSLC brand. Tim provides strategic leadership in all marketing, merchandising, insights and corporate social responsibility initiatives to enhance the customer experience, while also leading all network strategy and real estate development. A native of Nova Scotia, Tim returned after working in British Columbia, Ontario and Wisconsin. With more than 19 years of sales and marketing experience, Tim has a strong track record of using customer research to develop comprehensive and successful marketing and merchandising plans. Immediately prior to joining the NSLC team, Tim was VP of Marketing for Canada at the Clorox Company, where he led the marketing initiatives for brands such as Clorox, GLAD, Pine-Sol, Bria, Armour-All and Hidden Valley Ranch.
In his spare time, Tim has completed his Professional Sommelier and WSET Diploma designations.
