Opportunity Place is a truly client focued Nova Scotia Works Employment Services Centre providing FREE services and support to employers and job seekers of Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and area.

In terms of employers, we connect to learn about current and future challenges in finding and keeping staff to see how we can partner together and work towards becoming an employer of choice - providing no cost assistance with job descriptions; marketing materials (job postings); promotion of employment opportunities; hiring events; and information on government and industry programs, including hiring and training incentives. The above and more is provided by our dedicated Employer Engagement Specialist, as we truly look forward to helping local employers access the resources and talent they need to sustain and grow their business!

In terms of job seekers, and potential talent for local employers, our Certified Career Development Practitioners / Case Managers, Job Developer, and Career Counsellor work daily with active job seekers to identify career paths and support them along their journey, providing one-on-one and group services and supports with everything from career decision making to targeted cover letters and resumes to communicating their talents in an interview to navigating funding and community supports.

Our high-quality, personalized services and supports are delivered by dedicated and knowledgeable staff representative of all aspects of the communities we serve. We are dedicated to a journey of lifelong learning and providing an inclusive space for all!
