This program is designed to help small business owners understand the importance of exit and succession planning and the serious consequences of not preparing early. Participants will explore current research showing that while most owners plan to exit their businesses within the next decade, very few have formal plans in place, often putting their retirement security, families, employees, and local communities at risk.
Participants will learn the eight key drivers of business value, how each driver contributes to what a business is worth, and practical ways to strengthen them. The program demystifies business valuation by moving beyond costly one-time estimates and focusing instead on the everyday decisions and systems that consistently increase value. Owners will gain clarity on how value is created beyond simply growing sales, including leadership, systems, cash flow, customer concentration, and risk reduction.
By applying these concepts, business owners will increase the likelihood that their business is truly ready to sell or transition, whether to a third party, employees, or family members. As a result, participants will be better positioned to build businesses that are more sustainable, growth oriented, efficiently managed, and supported by stronger, more predictable cash flow, while also improving confidence in achieving a successful and rewarding exit.
