Iain MacLeod
Iain MacLeod is the program specialist and manager at the Office of Gaelic Affairs, a division of Nova Scotia's Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism & Heritage. In this role, he oversees the office's funding programs, and works closely with its community partner organizations, including the GBI. Iain is a Gaelic learner originally from New Glasgow, and worked for many years in the Nova Scotia film industry. He now lives in Cape Breton.
NICK NICKERSON
Nick Nickerson is an Earth Scientist and co-founder and President of Eosense, a Halifax-based company that designs and manufactures greenhouse gas monitoring equipment. A drinker of IRN-BRU, an amateur Scottish hillwalker and a learner of Gaelic, he actively tries to find any excuse to go to an t-seann dùthaich (the Old Country, or Scotland), whether for work or play. As a co-founder of the Gaelic Business Initiative, Nick brings together his business and technical expertise as well as a passion for Gaelic language and culture.
