Because of the space this unprecedented time has provided us, we now have the opportunity to shift our thinking and our way of working, to innovate and improve our practices, and connections. Now more than ever it is important to stay connected to our friends and our networks.
It is in this spirit of community, connectedness, and global consciousness, our friends at Blue Door Group wanted to share their 40 Coffee Mission with all of you. Grab your coffee, your tea, or whatever else you fill your cup with..we won't tell.. and join us and our friends for a virtual coffee!
Bring your small business questions, your concerns, your ideas, and your support! We know that when we all work together we can create a community of stronger businesses as we grow from this experience together.
Guest: Dr. Caroline Brookfield
Topic: Using a Time of Uncertainty to Inspire Your Professional Creativity.
Caroline loves to dance at the intersection of Art and Science for a Regret-Proof Life.
She feels compelled to show people how to rediscover their creative side, for a professional and personal life that spreads to the edges. She thrives on the conversion of staunch skeptics who think they are "not creative”. As a veterinarian and researcher, Caroline prioritizes data and evidence based concepts.
Her passion for creativity and disdain for the status quo drive her to challenge herself; stand-up comedy, learning guitar, rock climbing, surfing, public speaking. A late diagnosis of ADHD, paired with scientific curiosity has inspired a deep passion for applied neuroscience, and a deep distaste for irrelevant and pointless drivel.
Caroline has built two online businesses, in addition to her veterinary consulting business, with the mantra "if someone else can do it, so can I".
Caroline has been published in academic and mainstream publications including; Shock, Canadian Veterinary Journal, WVC Magazine, and Handbook for Wildlife Rehabilitators (Calgary Zoo). Her work experiences include; self employed as a veterinarian, entrepreneur, mom, instructor, researcher, nature interpreter, Scouter, Carnie at the Townsville Fair, working at the Calgary Zoo, the University of Calgary, and Veterinary Communications Manager at Nestle Purina where she was awarded the “Innovator of the Year” award.
Her hope for everyone is that they consider the unconventional actions that will make them strong enough to withstand the coming gale of change, and take them one step closer to a regret-proof life.
