Peter Gregg is President & CEO of Nova Scotia Power; a role he assumed in October 2020. In his role, Peter is focused on planning for Nova Scotia’s clean energy future while overseeing the delivery of safe, reliable electricity to customers across the province.
Peter is an experienced leader in the Canadian energy sector. Prior to his role at NS Power, Peter most recently served as the President & CEO of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), where he oversaw the operation of Ontario’s bulk electricity system. He was also President and CEO of Enersource from 2014 to 2016, where he was integral in the merger of four of Ontario’s largest local distribution companies to create Alectra Inc., the second largest municipally owned utility in North America.
Peter currently serves on the Member Representatives Committee of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and is a member of the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council (ESCC). He is also a member of the Canadian Electricity Association Board of Directors.
Jennifer Tuck is the current CEO of the Maritimes Energy Association. Jennifer joined the Association in September 2019 after spending almost a decade working for NextEra Energy Canada, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC a leading North American energy company, as its Director of Regulatory Affairs and Government Relations. In that role, Jennifer was responsible for the company’s regulatory and political affairs across Canada.
Prior to joining NextEra, Jennifer spent over a decade working in the Ontario Government as a political aide to several Cabinet Ministers, including working for several Ministers of Energy.
Jennifer has a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science from Western University in London, Ontario and a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University.
Derek Estabrook is the Vice President of Business Development for Heritage Gas, the natural gas distribution utility in Nova Scotia.
Derek’s team is developing and commercializing new technologies to help reduce energy costs and GHG emissions in Nova Scotia, including hydrogen, renewable natural gas, energy efficient building HVAC systems, and combined-heat-and power.
Prior to joining Heritage Gas, Derek worked for 15 years in sales, marketing, product innovation, and business development roles in the food & beverage industry.
