The Future is Green – The Road to Renewable Energy
The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is hosting a discussion on Nova Scotia’s climate change goals and the impact and opportunities for local businesses.
The provincial Sustainable Development Goals Act has aggressive targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote renewable energy, improve air and water quality, and protect ecosystems. Nova Scotia has the most ambitious climate change goals in the country:
- reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 53% below 2005 levels by 2030
- achieve net-zero emissions in Nova Scotia by 2050
The road to renewable energy is long and winding but Nova Scotia is already on track. Join us to hear from the experts striving to achieve Nova Scotia’s goals in climate change while answering:
How can we ensure we use our Canadian resources in the best way moving forward?
What can local businesses be doing to achieve these goals?
What opportunities are available to assist businesses in making an impact?
What local innovation is currently taking place to propel clean tech forward?
