Shane Kennedy returned to NS in 2020 after a 10-year absence. He has over 25 years of Financial Services Experience and in 2021 joined the Cooperators as an agent embarking on a new journey of entrepreneurship. Shane and his team specialize in full-service insurance and wealth solutions for Small Businesses looking for advice and personalized service. They are locally owned and operated and invested in the community.
Shane volunteers with ISANS, is active with Financial Literacy Awareness and started a Business-to-Business Networking to support #buylocal. The team is passionate about Metal Heath and Children’s Hospital. Shane, his wife Melissa and 2 girls couldn’t be happier to be back home and part of the growth happening in Nova Scotia.
Tom Wile
VP, NEI Investments
As a 25+ year investment professional Tom’s primary focus is as the subject matter expert in Atlantic Canada in the area of Responsible investing. He assists advisors integrating these concepts in their advisory practice & educating clients.
Tom is a Halifax Native with two grown kids, one a financial advisor and the other an ESG specialist with a global firm.
Tom has chaired the investment committee at the NS Community College for the last 10 years overseeing the investment strategy for their $28M pool of capital. He is a Chartered Investment Manager and a Responsible Investment Specialist. Tom recently completed the CFA Institute ESG Accreditation.
Tom has been with NEI for 8 years. Some know Tom via a 20 year ‘side hustle’ that he had called ‘Tom’s Little Havana’ which he sold in 2017.
