Being an entrepreneur can already be stressful, full of uncertainty, and at times, socially isolating. Given the recent situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, we find ourselves faced with additional pressure and stress as a result of this unusual situation. Thus, the impact is felt within our economy, across all industries, within our businesses, communities and personal lives. This unprecedented health crisis is forcing a tsunami of changes that have left many business owners, in particular, experiencing high levels of anxiety.
In a recent survey (pre-pandemic), supported by BDC and CMHA, 42% of responding business owners said that mental health issues interfere with their ability to work. However, fewer than one in five indicated that they were likely to seek professional help.
Now, is the time to talk.
As we navigate through the whirlwind of COVID-19 information, prepare to make difficult decisions and wait for the unknown effects of this pandemic, we may find ourselves challenged to stay in the present. And while we work to mitigate the fallout of this health crisis, we must remember to protect one of our most valuable assets - our mental health.
Join Martina Kelades, Founder of Life Out Loud, along with guest and Life Coach, Mischaela Richter, as they create a space for conscious conversations around ways to cope through COVID. Learn how to capitalize on conservation, control and care to support your most valuable resource — your mental health.
