FREE TRAINING: Project Management
The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer a round of FREE online training programs to help grow your business in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration.

TRAINING OVERVIEW:
Project Management training is a 11 week program that will start on, Tuesday, April 16 and take place once per week every TUESDAY from 1:00PM - 5:00PM.These training sessions are in high demand. Please only register if you are 100% committed to fully participating in this training. This is a 40 hour course and you will be required to participate in 80% of the sessions in order to receive the certificate.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING SUMMARY:
This course is designed to provide tools and templates to manage any project of any size. Following standard project management methodology, the course will provide instruction in:
- What is a project
- Project charter
- Work breakdown structure
- Assigning resources to project tasks
- Project budget
- Gantt chart
- Project risk
- Communication plan
- Project life cycle
Participants will be given the opportunity to work on real-life projects of their interest, utilizing tried and true project management processes and the latest cloud-based software systems to assist with project management.
ABOUT THE TRAINER:
Paula Greene, CITP, Beyond Ventures Group Inc.
Paula is President and CEO of Beyond Ventures Group Inc., With a MBA, Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) and a Master's Certificate in Project Management, Paula possesses a strong technical background in international business. She has a keen understanding of the international marketplace, supply chain and business development processes. Leveraging her extensive experience in the Canadian business environment, Paula provides professional training and consulting services to private and public organizations with a business and market development focus.
Paula was a Going Global Delivery Partner, Content Advisory Panel (CAP) member, an Item Writer for FITT, delivered FITTSkills for Nova Scotia Business Inc., has authored International Marketing Curriculum in the Atlantic Provinces. She authored and delivers project management training throughout Canada for various organizations. She co-authored, for Nova Scotia, Supply Chain Essentials and has several Workplace Educator, The Executive Presence™ Leadership Development Certification, Instructional Skills Workshop (TDW) certification. She serves as a guest lecturer and panellist at universities, secondary institutions and global organizations.
TRAINING TIMELINE:

To sign up for the training, you must complete the required registration fields, which are required by the Department of Labour Skills & Immigration.

Once we receive your completed form, your information will be provided to your trainer and they will contact you to complete an Individual Needs Assessment to ensure this training is the right fit for you and your business.

Your trainer will then become your point of contact for the training and they will provide you with the information on how to join the sessions each week.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:

The program must be taken on a computer, laptop, or tablet, no phones.

Participants must have a reliable Internet connection.

Headphones with a microphone and a webcam.

Participants must display video; required to ensure the connection to the instructor and other participants.

A quiet place, free of distractions.
