VIRTUAL DEMENTIA FRIENDLY AMBASSADOR TRAINING
Through the help of the Nova Scotia Age Friendly Communities Program and our partners at Person Centred Universe, we are proud to provide a five part education series to organizations interested in creating an inclusive environment for people living with dementia.
The Dementia Friendly Ambassador Training is a five part series of educational modules. All modules will be delivered online using the Zoom platform.
Once you’ve completed the five modules, you will receive explicit access to our online education platform where you will be able to access recordings of all five modules.
Company leaders and their employees will learn what dementia is, and how to recognize someone who is living with the disease.
We will explore how to support your customers and clients in a variety of ways, from inclusive environments that encourage a calming and relaxing experience, provide effective ways to communicate effectively with your clients and customers living with dementia and their care partners, and provide tailored information based on your company or organization.
Once you have completed the modules, you’ll be able to advertise that you have done your work to support those living with dementia and their care partners!
