WHO SHOULD I NOMINATE FOR A HALIFAX BUSINESS AWARD?
Nominate a friend, colleague, client, business, or employer who deserves to be recognized! Consider nominating the New, the Small, the Exporters, the Innovative, the Businesses and Leaders right here in Halifax, whose accomplishments have yet to be publicly acknowledged. Self-nominations are encouraged!

HOW DO I NOMINATE?
It's easy! Review our 2020 Eligibility Criteria, follow this link to gain access to our nomination system and follow the instructions on the site. The rest is up the nominees! 

I HAVE BEEN NOMINATED, WHAT DO I DO?

• Ensure you are eligible for one of the six categories 

• Accept the nomination for the category

• Review and submit answers to the category questions 

• Upload 2 Letters of Reference, and 1 list of Accolades 

• Complete submission by Friday, September 6, 2019

HOW ARE THE WINNERS DETERMINED?
All submissions are reviewed and scored by our Judging Committee (six members of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce - NO Chamber staff are involved with the judging process). The judges rank the nominees and choose the top five in each category. Winners will be announced at the 2020 Halifax Business Awards Gala on January 23, 2020. *NOT before! 

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BECOME A FINALIST? 
As a finalist you will experience four to six months of FREE publicity, marketing, promotions and Halifax Celebrity status! It starts with a photoshoot for the cover of our Business Voice Magazine (see the 2019 issue below), video shoot for the visual promotions at the Awards Gala in January, media exposure and logo recognition, special announcements, receptions, and all eyes on you at the 2020 Halifax Business Awards Gala on January 23, 2020.
