Getting Into the Supply Chain with Chris Blanchard
Irving Shipbuilding is building the Royal Canadian Navy’s next class of Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) and Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship (AOPS) vessels under the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the largest defense procurement in Canadian history. Chris Blanchard, Supply Chain Manager with Irving Shipbuilding will provide an overview of the steps required to identify your organization as a willing a capable supplier and discuss what the company looks for in a supplier.
The Industrial and Technological Benefits Policy with Kaitlin Russel
Kaitlin Russel, Manager, Communications and Outreach at Industrial and Technology Benefits Branch; Innovation, Science and Economic Development will present and overview of the ITB policy. This will include Value Proposition and an update on current projects and potential opportunities for supply chain participation.
Through the Looking Glass: Lessons on Penetrating the Global Defense Industry
Jordan Kyriakidis is the co-founder and CEO of QRA Corp. Jordan has successfully led his team to secure multiple major contracts within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics to make engineer's lives easier. Most recently, QRA has launched QVscribe, an experimental Natural Language Processing tool that has been requested by teams in over 25 countries - successfully penetrating complicated supply chains in multiple industries. This presentation will include Jordan's thoughts on how local businesses can penetrate tough supply chains, and what tactics have helped QRA achieve their accelerated growth within the defense industry.
