Pre-Budget Speech - Honourable Randy Delorey, Provincial Minister of Finance & Treasury Board
Host Sponsor:
Honourable Randy Delorey, Provincial Minister of Finance & Treasury Board
With the Provincial Government only projecting a budget surplus of $12 million for this past year we will be looking for clear signals that Nova Scotia’s finances remain on track.
Other top issues for the Chamber include tax reform and public sector compensation. We also expect the Finance Minister to give an update on the state of the economy and what we can expect for the rest of 2017.
As Minister of Gaelic Affairs, Mr. Delorey works with the Gaelic community to improve and promote the community’s cultural, economic, and linguistic development.
He has served as Minister of Environment and is a member of the Treasury and Policy Board and the Assembly Matters committees.
Before being elected to the Nova Scotia Legislature, Mr. Delorey was a professor in the Faculty of Business at St. Francis Xavier University. He earned a Bachelor of Information Systems degree from StFX’s Gerald Schwartz School of Business, an MBA from the Université de Moncton, and is a PhD candidate in Management at the Saint Mary’s University Sobey School of Business.
