POWER LUNCH: Accessibility Confident Leadership
Accessibility Confident Leadership

Two in five Nova Scotians have a disability. Some disabilities are visible, and some are not. More people have disabilities every year, even among young people.
This interactive workshop will be led by Corrie Melanson of Sea Change CoLab, and will invite you to practice, discuss, and take action to become an accessibility confident leader.
We will:
• Explore an accessibility confident leadership model
• Set the tone for your organization’s accessibility mindset
• Explore individual, interpersonal, and structural accessibility leadership actions
• Identify how to create safer spaces including:
▪ Proactive and responsive accommodations
▪ Promising practices for accessible recruitment and hiring
▪ Disability disclosure
