BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT NETWORK: November 2017- SOLD OUT
What does Career Transition mean to you?
Businesses are competing on a global basis today which means change is happening at a pace never seen before. Combine that with the pending retirement of the baby boomer cohort and the differing work-live expectations of the five generations in the workforce today, you can see why change and career transition has become the norm. Managers and leaders are responsible for solving an unprecedented challenge: up to five generations working side by side in their workforce. Each generation brings its’ own life stage, communication preferences, priorities, and more.
The reality is mergers, acquisitions, growth, and downsizing are all common occurrences and often result in workforce changes. These changes should not be seen as a reflection of the performance of those affected, but instead as a natural part of the greater change that occurs as businesses morph and grow. Change and career transition are inevitable and everyone will be impacted during his or her career.
In this session, you will learn how to prepare for future changes in your career. We will outline the steps you will progress through to search for your next opportunity, discuss how to build a compelling resume, and how to prepare for the interview and ultimately, the job offer and new beginnings.
