About Us

Catapult’s vision is to inspire, inform and empower Nova Scotian students so they have the confidence to reach their potential. Our mission is to cultivate new leaders who will make a positive difference in communities across Nova Scotia. We focus on students with natural leadership qualities but limited opportunities.

Operating since 2009, our students are nominated by teachers and 50 are selected to attend our leadership camp at no cost. Selection is based on leadership potential and strong character despite life circumstances that could jeopardize their talents. Alumni continue their development with our Catapult Plus program conducted throughout high school.
We focus on students with talent and desire but little opportunity. We surround them with enthusiastic staff and top-notch motivational speakers, and challenge them with meaningful activities. And with only 50 students each summer, we’re able to forge lasting relationships.

Resilient, self-motivated and hard workers, “Catapulters” are future leaders and community builders for Nova Scotia!
