Cynthia Sweeney (she/her) \;Cynthia'\;s commitment as a beyond binary educator and advocate are founded in understanding thoughtful conversations are essential for inspiring dynamic and intentional action around dismantling systemic prejudice and binary bias woven within our communities. \;Human rights and global citizenship are the founding principles of her \;socially-focused diversity and inclusion \;consultancy\, Simply Good Form\, founded in early 2019. \;
\n\nAs a journalist\, her passion for communication and navigational expertise inspired her to focus on elevating the voices\, visibility and representation of trans people in all levels of business\, employment and community engagement. \;
\n\nThis September Cynthia proudly published The Pink Balloon a children'\;s story about gender identity and shining as your true self. \;
\n\nShe is the Halifax Chair of Pflag Canada and Vice Chair on the Board of PRIDE Lunenburg. Cynthia is WPATH Certified (World Professional Association of Transgender Health) and \;has participated on panels with PRIDE Health in Nova Scotia\, Pride At Work Canada and the IWK Children'\;s Hospital and IWK Integrated Trans Health Symposium for youth into adulthood. She is co-host of the local podcast Hey\, Cis! along with Isaac Cook.

Darrell Schuurman\, (He/Him)Darrell is an advocate of effecting social change through the economic empowerment of LGBT+ entrepreneurs. He is the co-founder and CEO of the CGLCC\, Canada&rsquo\;s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce\, a national not-for-profit organization with a mission to expand the opportunities and advancement of the LGBT+ business community in Canada.

\nDarrell \;sits on the Supplier Advisory Committee (Public Services and Procurement Canada)\, the Procurement Modernization-Strategic Engagement Committee (Shared Services Canada)\, and the CUSMA SME Committee for the Government of Canada. \; \;Darrell is a founding member of Supplier Diversity Alliance Canada\, a national organization dedicated to the advancement of research\, education\, and advocacy of supplier diversity in Canada.

\nDarrell is also the co-founder of the Canadian Gay &\; Lesbian Business Education Foundation and Travel Gay Canada. \; \;

\nDarrell completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Calgary\, and completed his Executive MBA from Richard Ivey School of Business\, Western University.

Martine Roy (she/her/hers)As Regional Manager\, LGBTQ2+ Business Development\, my primary role is to serve as a trusted liaison between TD and the LGBTQ2+ community. In addition to my deep understanding of the community itself\, I rely on my ability to develop strong relationships with its members in order to fully discover their financial needs and goals. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of talented colleagues from multiple lines of business\, including Personal Banking\, Business Banking and TD Wealth\, to help provide our LGBTQ2+ clients with the best wealth advice and exceptional service they deserve. As part of this\, I work hard to stay engaged with the community at large on a regular basis\, by supporting and volunteering with local grass roots organizations which keeps me up to date with any relevant news. \;

Adam is a proud queer east coaster who lives in Kjipuktuk and serves as the Halifax Pride Society'\;s first Executive Director. He has a Bachelor in Theatre Studies from Acadia University and a Diploma in Cultural Administration from HEC Montreal.

\nAs founder and Festival Director of the Queer Acts Theatre Festival\, he presented local and national queer identified performing artists. With fifteen years experience as an arts administrator\, he worked with such organizations as the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival\, the 2011 Canada Games\, and Eastern Front Theatre. He is passionate about employing cultural and event celebration as a means of creating community and building cohesion. \;
