DESCRIPTION:Workplace Wellness Strategies for the Post-Pandemic World\n\n Presented by:\n\n        \n\n                          \n\nwith:\n\n                \nOctober is Canada's Healthy Workplace month\, a national initiative that focuses on raising awareness around the importance of workplace mental health. \n\nThe Halifax Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division (CMHA NS) are proudly supporting this initiative by partnering to offer a Power Lunch on workplace wellness strategies for the post-pandemic world.  \n\n\n\nAs Canadians continue to process their trauma from the events of the past two and a half years\, employees' mental health has become a top HR priority.  \n\n\n\nYour employees are your organization's most valuable asset. Helping them stay healthy   mentally and physically keeps your organization healthy. \n\n\n\nA comprehensive strategy that supports all aspects of employees well-being is non-negotiable and the only way to move from surviving to thriving. The concept of these programs and practices may seem overwhelming and costly\, but they don't need to be! \n\n \nOn Wednesday\, October 12\, 2022\, join Karn Nichols\, Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division\, and Bradley Daye\, CEO and Founder of Placemaking P4G as they demystify and deconstruct contemporary workplace mental health strategies that will inspire workplace leaders to embrace cultural differences\, lived experiences\, and the vulnerabilities that come with being human at work.\n \n\n \nAbout the Presenters:\n\nKarn Nichols\, Executive Director CMHA\n\nKarn Nichols joined the Canadian Mental Health Association Nova Scotia Division (CMHA NS) as Executive Director in July of 2021.\n\n\n\nAlong with a deep compassion for those facing mental health and addiction issues\, she brings with her over 25 years of leadership experience in both the for profit and social impact sectors. \n\n\n\nPrior to joining CMHA NS\, Karn served as Board Chair for the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning\; Manager\, Career of Services and Graduate Programs for the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University\, and VP People Development and Branch Operations for Maritime Travel. \n \n\n \nBradley Daye\, CEO and Founder of Placemaking P4G\n\nWith a deeply rooted history in Nova Scotia\, Bradley was born and raised in Halifax and is a community leader\, coach and member of the African Nova Scotian community.\n\n\n\nAs the Grandson of Delmore Buddy Daye\, Bradley is intrinsically grounded in community development led with empathy. Despite a successful career in professional sports   having played and coached football at both the university and professional level   Bradley found his purpose as an architect for value-aligned recruiting.\n\n\n\nHis proven track record of taking an idea from incubation to success\, sparked the successful launch and scale of two businesses and a non-profit organization.\n\n\n\nBy serving on the Board of Directors for United Way Halifax\, and supporting youth football in Halifax's North End\, Bradley is always contributing locally to the spaces where everything started for him.
