SUMMARY:LUNCHEON - Exploring Housing Solutions: Innovations & Community Impact
DESCRIPTION:Presenting Partner\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\nHousing is changing in Nova Scotia\, and it's a topic that impacts us all. Increasing our housing supply across the country and providing safe\, affordable housing continues to be a top priority for organizations and communities. With several newly-elected governments and mandates at both the municipal and provincial levels\, it's important to keep this issue top of mind and advocate for action.\n\n\n\nJoin us as we host a panel discussion exploring housing solutions in Nova Scotia. With speakers from the seniors and retirement living sector\, social and community support services\, and property development\, we'll be looking at housing innovations and solutions and their community impact and how we can use these innovations to address the shortages.\n\n \n\nHelp fill our Sock Box for the United Way Maritimes\n\n \n\nBring new winter socks to this event to donate!\n\n\n\nPlease ensure socks are new\, thick\, and insulated. We will also accept other new\, small winter clothing items to donate (e.g. winter hats\, gloves\, and mittens).\n\n \n\nThe United Way team will facilitate the delivery of donated socks from this event to the various organizations and people (e.g. Street Navigators) supporting those across HRM who are experiencing homelessness. United Way Maritimes is a donor-funded impact organization that brings together donors\, volunteers\, partners\, community organizations and government to create lasting social change in our communities.
