Locally owned and operated. The Nook Espresso Bar and Lounge is a friendly neighbourhood espresso bar and lounge in North End Halifax. We are here to share our love for coffee, food, and social lubricants with you. A short stroll down Gottingen St. from the Citadel and the downtown core will land you in a spot in the city that is unique and vibrant in so many ways - a few blocks we are proud to call home. We are home to a Token program that provides food and drinks to hungry folks in the community. The Token program is sustained by a three-pronged approach:

The Nook Espresso Bar and Lounge subsidizes part of the labour and food costs.
North Mountain Coffee and Izzy’s Bagel Co. support the program with lower source pricing.
Patrons and community members purchase tokens at the subsidized $2 and $5 price points.
