About Us

East Coast Language College (ECLC), formerly called East Coast School of Languages (ECSL), provides English training to adult international students from around the world. We offer programs for general English, University and college pathway, Business English, and IELTS preparation. ECLC is an IELTS test centre offering testing in Halifax twice a month. Many of ECLC’s students, from more than 30 countries each year, continue to post-secondary institutions and then make Nova Scotia their home.
ECLC provides evening language classes in Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin and English.
ECLC is Private Career College offering the ACE TESOL teacher training certificate.
ECLC is the bronze winner of the Halifax business awards, 2016 and a multi-year winner for best language school in Halifax from Consumer Choice Award.
