We are pleased to announce that we will be offering a round of FREE online training programs to help grow your business in collaboration with the Department of Labour\, Skills\, and Immigration. This program is offered to businesses\, managers\, and employees at zero cost as a benefit of your membership. \n\n\nTRAINING OVERVIEW:\nSocial Media for Business training is a 10 week program that will start on Thursday\, January 26 \,2023 and takes place once per week every Thursday from 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. These training sessions are in high demand with our members. Please only register if you are 100% committed to fully participating in this training. You will be required to participate in 80% of the sessions in order to receive the certificate. \n\n\n \n Preference will be given to members. Future members interested in joining the Halifax Chamber of Commerce\, please contact Cindy Mann at: cindy@halifaxchamber.com \n \n \n There are only 12 spaces available for this session if the session is full\, please add yourself to the waitlist\, you will be contacted only if a spot opens up.\n \n \n We are limiting this training to 1 employee representative per membership in order to allow more members the opportunity to participate.\n\n \n\n\nTRAINING TIMELINE:\n\n\n \n Once the training session is full\, you will be contacted with the required Service Registration Intake Form which must be completed in full and returned by the specified date or you will lose your spot.\n \n \n Once you return your forms\, your contact information will be provided to your trainer and they will contact you to complete an Individual Needs Assessment to ensure this training is the right fit for you and your business.\n \n \n Your trainer will then become your point of contact for the training and they will provide you with the information on how to join the sessions each week.\n\n \n \n\n\n\nPARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:\n\n\n \n The program must be taken on a computer\, laptop\, or tablet\, no phones. \n \n \n Participants must have an Internet connection\, hardwired preferred vs wi-fi\, high speed no dial up.\n \n \n Headset or earbuds and must have a webcam. If no webcam\, in-laptop video participation is a requirement.\n \n \n Participants must display video\; required to ensure the connection to the instructor and other participants.\n \n \n A quiet place to focus is required\, free of distractions.\n \n\n\n*The above are critically important not only for the success of individual participants but also the success of the entire group.\n\n \n\n\nSOCIAL MEDIA FOR BUSINESS TRAINING\n\nThose who take this course will leave with a strong understanding as to what to post on Social Media\, when to post it\, how to schedule it to save time\, how to design it\, and how to read the data to ensure you're maximizing your efforts.\n\n \n\nIn this course\, you'll learn things like:\n\n How to optimize your profiles\n\n What type of content works with real examples\n\n Ad copy what to write with your posts\n\n How to create a content calendar\n\n Establishing your brand image (colors/fonts)\n\n Graphic design for Social Media using Canva\n\n Facebook & Instagram stories\n\n\nABOUT THE TRAINER:\n\n\n\nMichaela LeBlanc\n\nMichaela has been educating people through this Social Media course for over 3 years.
